description The French name refers to the 300-foot-high rock outcropping that is the central feature of this quiet park. The stairway to the top of the mound is now open from 6am to sunset. Users are restricted to the stairway to protect the natural area. Food, drinks, and pets are not allowed. Please be respectful of the park and other users while using the stairway. Native American petroglyphs and a wayside exhibit can also be viewed. Roche-A-Cri State Park's campground presents a very attractive and quiet setting. The campground is mostly shady with large trees. Pit toilets have lights at night. A Picnic Shelter is Available for Rental.
drivingDirection Roche-A-Cri State Park is situated 28 miles north of the Wisconsin Dells on Hwy 13 and midway between the Wisconsin Dells and Wisconsin Rapids on Hwy 13. From the intersection of Hwy 21 and I-39: head west 14 miles to the intersection of Hwy 21 and Hwy 13. Take Hwy 13 south for 1.5 miles to the park entrance. From the intersection of Hwy 21 and I-94: head east 33 miles, turn south on Hwy 13 and travel 1.5 miles to the park entrance.

Sites 1-3 are not reservable and are available as 1st come/1st serve. Site 8 is held for people with disabilities (electric). When Park's Main Gate is closed for the Season, day users for the hiking/ski trails, can park in the winter parking lot on Czech Avenue. Vehicle admission stickers are required. Click here for cost of the sticker. Friendship Lake is 1.5 miles from park entrance. Showers are available at local vendors for a fee. Dump station open approximately May 15, 2015. Dump Station Closes approximately October 15, 2015. These facilities are weather dependent and dates can change. Check with the property if you have questions.
